  1. 3 Accomplishments

    1. This week, my most important accomplishment was drafting the beginnings of my introduction. It is located under "D_Research Paper Drafts" in my project file on Teams!

    2. I also succeeded in gathering several more primary sources that I am finally able to compiled into the beginnings of my literature review.

    3. Similar to the above, I was able to refine my research question several times because I finalized (for now) the letters I am going to write about.

  2. 3 Obstacles

    1. I struggled to see our project in the context of AI, and how AI would be relevant in this project. This gap in my information would make me reluctant to create a chatbot that would give us a new way to look at the document.

    2. I think that the scheduling issue from Monday's afternoon lecture threw me off! In hindsight, I would've been more productive on my own, but I understand there was some confusion.

    3. I also struggled with my schedule. I felt like I had a lot of time for research, and while I was quite productive early in the week, I grew tired and restless Wednesday and Thursday. However, I think this is primarily due to my sleeping and eating schedule.

  3. 3 Things Learned

    1. I learned how to implement spatial autocorrelation maps in GIS! I also learned of other tools used to manipulate GIS and my map.

    2. I learned how to digitize used photoshop! This was an incredibly fun part of the Thursday schedule. It brought me back to my own work.

    3. I also learned how to spot mistakes and inconsistencies in metadata.

  4. Project Updates: What's Next?

    1. Completing my literature review.

    2. Reviewing census records for names of interest mentioned in letters.
